DG Rural Development Society will launch its Handloom and Craft Revival program to preserve traditional skills and generate sustainable livelihoods for rural artisans. We will identify communities with rich weaving, embroidery, pottery, and handicraft traditions and provide them with modern training, improved tools, and design innovations while maintaining their cultural authenticity.
We will connect artisans to market opportunities through exhibitions, e-commerce platforms, and partnerships with retail brands, enabling them to earn fair wages for their work. Our initiative will also focus on youth training so that traditional craft knowledge is passed on to the next generation.
Through workshops on quality improvement, branding, and business skills, we will ensure that artisans can compete in both local and global markets. We will also promote the use of eco-friendly and sustainable materials to keep traditions alive in an environmentally responsible way.
By reviving rural crafts, DG Rural Development Society will protect cultural heritage, enhance rural incomes, and showcase the artistry of rural India to the world.
